Medina Home and Garden Show

The Medina County Home and Garden Show is the perfect kickoff to spring as the Community Center on the Medina County Fairgrounds is transformed into a beautiful display of blooming flowers, trees and bushes. As winter is winding down, it's a great time to start planning your lawn and garden projects and sprucing up your home.

The show features over 130 exhibitors in the home and garden industry like landscaping, gardening, home improvement, kitchen and bath, flooring, roofing, gutters, heating & cooling, outdoor living, remodeling, windows and a lot more.  If you're looking to improve your home or yard, it's a great place for one-stop shopping to compare pricing and quality.

In the early days of modern beekeeping A. I. Root planted a basswood grove on the plot of land currently occupied by Giant Eagle and put his queen-rearing operation in the heart of it. He used the basswood for three things: the trees provided shade during the heat of the summer and when the trees matured, the blossoms provided a nectar source in June and July. Finally when the trees were of the correct age, they were thinned and the timber provided the special wood needed to make the basswood sections for section comb honey. The Main Garden of the show will feature a couple of basswood trees that will be donated to the city of Medina after the show.
